Almost New Year
As 2010 approaches very quickly, I am in amazement at how fast time flies. This year has definitely been a year of blessings. I bought a house in April, Brandon and I got engaged on July 4th, my second nephew Cannon was born on July 27th, and Brandon and I got married on October 24th! God has been so good to me and my family.
On New Year's Day, me and Brandon are thinking about heading up to Pigeon Forge for the weekend. We are trying to decide because we know it will be so busy but maybe everyone will be heading out of there on New Year's Day. I hope everyone has a great and safe New Year's! Happy 2010!

Let it Snow
This morning Brandon and I were awakened by my cell phone ringing at 8:03 AM...it was my brother, Chad, calling to tell me to get up and look outside because he didn't want us to sleep too late and miss it. I crawled out of bed and looked out and saw snow covering the ground! It was so beautiful and a great surprise to wake up to. Brandon decided he was ready for breakfast so we made some biscuits and "hatched out" only to fall back into bed for an hour or two. I love Saturdays...that is one thing I do love about a M-F job because I never have to worry about going to work.
Mom, Jo, and I made a trip to Chattanooga to do a little Christmas shopping. A lot of the family has decided not to do gifts this year so I really don't have a lot to buy for. It was very crowded everywhere and the traffic was horrible. I can't believe it's already Christmas time although I do love this season. It is also very special since it is our first Christmas married. ;)

A Thankful Heart
Just wanted to say how thankful I am for my wonderful life. I have a wonderful new husband, a great family, wonderful in-laws, great friends, and a good job. God has blessed me and my family so much.

So glad it's Friday!
I am so happy that the weekend is finally here. It has been a real busy week this week. Tuesday night I invited Mom, Dad, Chad, Lauren, and the boys over to eat dinner and look at our new Christmas tree, Wednesday we had a family picture made and ate dinner at a new Mexican restaraunt in Cleveland called "Tres Amigas" which was really good. Last night Mom, Lisa, and I went to Chattanooga to the YMCA Christmas Market and tonight we are going to eat dinner with Brandon's parents for his mom's birthday (which was Wednesday). So tomorrow I am very excited about a relaxing Saturday. I cannot believe Thanksgiving is next week! I am excited though because I love to eat all the yummy food and we are off work Thursday and Friday. :) Well, that is all that is going on around our new little household. Hope everyone has a great weekend! xoxo

Married Life
Well I am officially a married woman now. Things are going good in the new house. The wedding went perfect except for it being windy and cold but I am thankful it didn't rain. The honeymoon was a much needed vacation. We slept in, ate, shopped a little, hung out at the beach the few sunny days we had, and ate some more. We experienced the Melting Pot for the first time. We went just for dessert and got the dessert dippers. If you haven't every had it, it is a platter with bite size pieces of brownies, rice krispies, strawberries, bananas, pound cake, marshmellows and I think that is about it. You dip each piece in hot melted chocolate. It was very good but very expensive.
We are now in the new house and adjusting to the new living situation. Puddles has probably had the hardest time. She misses her Nana, Papa, and Ellie very much. Her and Brandon are becoming BFF though so I am sure she will be fine.
Well, sorry it has taken so long to post. I should have pictures soon. :)

Tailgating, Tons of People, and Too Few Touchdowns
Brandon and I went to the TN game today in Knoxville. It was a lot of fun but it definitely was a full day. I got up at 8 and got ready and met Brandon at 9. We ran a few errands and stopped at Hardee's to grab breakfast. We tail gated with some friends of Brandon's and we started that around 12:30. We headed over to the stadium around 2:15 and waded our way through people until about 3:30 when me and Brandon decided to go ahead and take our seats inside. Our seats were really good as you can see above. Thank the good Lord we were in the shade and didn't have to sit in the hot sun through the game. After the game, we went to Abuelo's at Turkey Creek and ate dinner. We had a good time but were very tired. Too bad we lost!

Showers of Blessings
I recently had my first wedding shower on my side of the family. My aunt Lisa had it at her house on the river and we had it on the dock. It turned out to be a nice day. It didn't start raining until it was over so that was good. We received lots of good stuff especially kitchen goodies. Here is everything I can remember...cookware, frying pan, utensil set, measuring cups, sheets, mattress pad, gift cards, two clocks, crock pot, flatware, blankets, cake platter, glasses and I am probably leaving some stuff out but that is what I can remember.
A house update:
My dad has graciously taken the rest of this week off to finish my kitchen floors at the house. He is restaining them a darker color. He has also done all of the majority of the work in the house that would have otherwise had to have been hired out. He is too talented and it gets him a lot of extra work :) Brandon has pressure washed the entire house and back deck. It looks so good :) Now we are working on staining the deck. Hopefully we will be able to finish it by this weekend.
Honeymoon update:
We finally booked a honeymoon. We decided to stay in Destin for the week after the wedding. It will be easier for us and we are excited about it.

Wedding Planning
The wedding plans have been set into motion. We have decided to have our ceremony in Florida at a place called Bentleys on the Bay. I am very excited because the place is beautiful! I have my dress already and the bridesmaids dresses ordered. I have pictures of cakes I like but I am having trouble getting a picture of Brandon and I for our save the dates. It's sad to say but we don't have a lot of recent pictures together. I hate taking pictures because I am so UN photogenic. Hopefully we can get one taken soon. That is about all I have planned so far. I will keep the blog updated. :)

Happy Birthday Cannon William!
Cannon William Haun was born today at 8 pounds and 191/2 inches long. He is so precious and cute. He has a head full of black hair! Carter has stayed with us all day and he has definitely kept us on our toes. Mom and Dad and I took him to Toys R Us before we took him to meet his little brother. He managed to get a new battery operated 4-wheeler and it wasn't even his birthday or Christmas...it must be a grandbaby thing! ;)

Goin' to the Chapel...
As most of you know, Brandon and I have been dating for a long time. We started dating while I was a sophomore in high school and have been a pair ever since. Well, last night he asked me to marry him with this gorgeous ring!! We were fixing to head down to Chattanooga for the fireworks at Coolidge and out of no where he asked me! His goal the whole time was to surprise me so he definitely succeeded with that. Here are a few pics from our night. :)
Now I guess I officially need to start thinking about wedding plans and getting into wedding dress shape but all I find myself doing is staring at my new ring!

Bonding time with Carter
Last night I was surprised when Chad called me when I was about to get off work and asked if I could watch Carter for the evening. Of course I said yes and I headed to pick my buddy up when I got off work. When I got to their house, he was still taking his afternoon nap so I waited on him to wake up and then we packed him up and set off to my house. After we stopped by the country club to see Brandon for a minute, we got home and I made him a belgian waffle for supper and we watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while we ate our dinner. After supper we headed outside to play around and then came back in for bath time. He liked playing with cups in the faucet for about 5 minutes and then he was ready to get out. I enjoyed him being clingy to me for a little while and spending some quality time together. Thanks Chad and Lauren for a wonderful Friday night with my sweet nephew.

Homeowner
It has been a very long time since I have posted anything and I do apologize to my readers (Mom). A lot has been going on the past few months. On April 28th, I became the proud owner of 102 Mulberry Lane. Since I signed the papers, we have cleaned and painted almost every weekend and some days through the week. The painting is coming along but we still have quite a bit left to do. I am painting every room in the house so it will take some time. Mom and Dad have been so helpful and Chad even came over and painted on one of his days off. Brandon worked really hard on the flower beds in the front and managed to clean them out and get them ready for new mulch and shrubs. I was feeling really overwhelmed with everything but I am starting to learn that it will just take time and to be patient. Work is still going well. I was happy to have Memorial Day off. It was much needed. Hopefully I can get some pictures up of the house soon.

Poor Puddles and My Poor Pocket Book
Well, this past week has been rough for my sweet lil' Puddles. First of all, she started yelping everytime we would pick her up or if she sat on her hip a certain way. I took her to Dr. Lane's on Tuesday morning and dropped her off for an exam. I called at lunch to check on her and they told me that she had a calcified disc on her vertebrae that was irritated and probably causing her the pain. The doctor gave her an anti-inflammatory and told me that she should not be jumping or climbing strictly for two weeks but preferably not for the rest of her life! Do they understand how hard it is to keep a protective dachshund from jumping?!?! So anyways, she has been trying to recover from a hurt back while something called "kennel cough" hit her Friday night which to me sounds like a "sinus infection". (haha) She coughed from the evening into the wee hours of the morning until Mom and I finally took her to the Vet ER. That is where we learned about the kennel cough and Puddles was prescribed an anti-biotic and some cough tabs. I know it sounds crazy but nothing is too good for my baby. She is like family and I want to take care of her the best I can. Don't judge!

It's been a while...
I know it has been a long while since I have made a post. I thought I would catch my followers up on my exciting life. (hehe) This past weekend started off gloomy on Friday when everyone in my house were tucked away in their nice warm bed and I was having to get up and get ready for another work day. The morning went by pretty and lunch time rolled around and a message appeared in my inbox that said "leadership had decided to let our associates off for the rest of the day", yee haw!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited, I even stood up and did a little happy dance, shut my computer off, and hit the door. It was so nice to come home and relax. My Mom, Dad, and I watched Slumdog Millionaire when I got home. It was a pretty good movie but sorta sad. It did have a good ending though. Saturday, my Mom, Gran and I headed to Chattanooga to fight the crowd to look around for some possible Easter duds for church. I did not have any luck except for a pretty pair of earrings my Mom bought for me. Sunday, I woke up late and had to rush around the house so Brandon and I wouldn't be late to church. We planned to arrive 15 minutes early because we knew it would be so crowded. We successfully got there early and got a seat on the front row of the balcony. Pastor Lockerman did a really good job explaining the four facts of the Resurrection...I am not sure if that was the exact title but something like that. After church, Mom, Dad, and I ate a delicious lunch of ham biscuits and yummy baked beans!!! Brandon had to work on Sunday :( so I ended up making him a plate to eat for supper. Chad, Lauren, and Carter came over Sunday night for a while. Carter was being very funny while his Nana chased him around the living room. The weekend was really nice and went by too fast!

TGIF
I am so happy that today is Friday and the weekend is finally here! I do not have much planned and that is why I am so excited. Tonight Brandon and I plan on staying in and eating spaghetti and watching a movie. I am not sure about Saturday but Carter is coming over on Sunday to spend the night. He is really getting busy so that should be fun and entertaining. Sorry I haven't updated in a while. There really hasn't been much going on lately.
Happy Spring!!!!!!

How sad!
Well, the finale was a real doozy last night. I had googled some spoilers before it came on so I kind of had an idea about what may happen. The web was right and he did dump Melissa on the After the Final Rose show. We stayed up until 11 to see poor Melissa get broken up with on national tv. I can't believe it all went down that way. Jason better have some body guards because I know there are alot of women mad at him! I suffered at work today because of my late night....I know I am a grandma, I can't help it. It took all my strength to roll out of bed this morning and it took me forever to get woke up once I got to work.

The Bachelor Finale
I know, I know...The Bachelor is corny and cliche but I have enjoyed this season of it very much. I started watching about half way through the season when my Mom invited over some of her peeps from work. From that night on, we have gotten together to watch every episode except for The Women Tell All. Tonight we are having lasagna, salad, french bread, and brownie pie since it is a special night. I have heard rumors of what will happen but I hope I am surprised because the girl I wanted to win, Jillian, has already been let go. I guess we will see! :)

Happy Birthday to Me!
I turned 23 years old today around 2 pm on a cold, snowy day. (at least that's what I hear from my Mom) Today has been a good day though. I had to work but my friends there decorated my cubicle and had left me a birthday mug with fun size candy bars all in it. After work, I came home and the family came over for some pizza and heath bar cake that my Mom did an excellent job on, yum yum :) We just sat around and laughed at Carter and tried to get him to walk to us the rest of the night.
As for Valentine's day this Saturday, Brandon and I haven't made any definite plans but we usually do a combination for my birthday and Valentine's since they are so close together. Well, it is getting close to 10 and I am very sleepy. This birthday has worn me out! Good night!

Monday, Monday
Today there was snow in the TN valley! It was so beautiful. I wish it would do it some more!
Nothing real exciting has been going on lately. Saturday morning I went with my friend Julie to David's Bridal so she could try on a dress and order for her brother's wedding. After we got back to Cleveland, my mom and I headed back to Chattanooga to do a little shopping which was a lot of fun even though we didn't buy much. My dad is out of town until next Saturday on a work trip. Brandon has been sick the last couple of days along with Chad. Carter has four molars coming in and is allergic to dairy for the time being. He is also starting to walk! He has taken lots of little strolls from Mommy to Daddy so I know it will be no time and he will be running. Mom got out of school early today and is having some friends over to watch The Bachelor tonight. Mom and Lauren are the lucky ones in the family who get out of school (work) for weather. I will try and get some recent pics on here soon. I know just words are boring.

Almost Friday :)
I am very happy that tomorrow is Friday! Now that I work full time I feel like I live for the weekends. Tomorrow will complete my third week of a full time employee. I am getting used to it now but I thought I was going to kill over the first week. Those 16 extra hours seemed to really make a difference. Not a lot has been going on around here lately except that Carter celebrated his first birthday on January 14th. I cannot believe he is already one! He has taken some steps so I am sure little man will be walking soon. I can't believe another bundle of joy is on the way.

Home Sweet Home
Well, we returned from Orlando at about 6:00 pm. It was a long ride in the car but not nearly as long as it took to get there. We were only stopped in traffic once for about an hour and then things cleared up. I slept off and on for the first 3 to 4 hours so the trip went by relatively fast.
As for the week of vacay, we had a great time! We went to SeaWorld and saw the dolphins and trainers perform in a show that was amazing. It looked like so much fun to be able to call that your job. After that show we went on to the Shamu show "Believe" and saw some huge killer whales along with Shamu himself. It is so weird how the animals are so smart. Carter did really good at the park and we enjoyed being spoiled by spending so much time with him this week. :)
On Thursday, we went to Disney's Animal Kingdom and saw many animals. We took the safari ride that you always see on tv when they advertise it and it was so cool. My only complaint was that the driver didn't stop, she only slowed down. I really wanted to get a good look because it was unreal being so close.
The other days of the week were filled with spending my Christmas money at the malls, eating meals in the condo, eating meals out, watching movies, and we even were able to lay out in the sun one day! 80 degrees! woo hoo!
This trip was much needed and I am thankful my parents took me even though officially Monday I will start worl full time and be a big girl. :( I am thankful for my job but dread entering the "real world".
