Turkey Hangover

Happy belated Thanksgiving to all! I am sad that the long weekend is winding down but am very thankful for the break. This year Brandon and I went to his family's for Thanksgiving dinner and then went to eat at my aunt Lisa's that evening her supper. Both meals were very delicious. My mom made an Orange creamsicle cake that was really good and luckily we are still eating on it. :) On Friday, Mom, Lauren, Carter, and I started to Chattanooga to head in to the madness of Black Friday. It wasn't too bad but the crowds really wore me out. I would not have went if I knew I wouldn't have Saturday to rest up before the start of the week. That is exactly what I did too! I did not get up until 11:30 AM this morning and then (as bad as this sounds) took a nap around 1! I must have been exhausted! This evening, Brandon and I went to Red Lobster for dinner, to Kohl's to make a return, and then to Panera for a chocolate chip bagel and a hot chocolate. It was very nice to go on a date just me and him. Well, that is all that is going on right now. Until next time!

2 Weeks and Counting!

I only have two more weeks of classes in my college career! Yay!! Everything is quickly approaching and I am getting really excited. I am waiting on my graduation invitations to come in the mail. I am also trying to frantically get all my assignments done before everything winds down. I am really excited to graduate but I will also be a little sad to say goodbye to the school schedule...even though this semester's schedule hasn't been the best, I have had some good schedules in the past that allowed me to take lots of afternoon naps! When I start work full time I know those days are long gone. I also have been bored at work lately since I am catching on to things now, I get my work done faster which leaves me with not a lot to do in the afternoons. When I start full time I will have more responsibilites so I guess that will make the days go by faster. I am really depressed that it has gotten so cold. I am finding that I need warmer work clothes because I am freezing my booty off. Well, this is a little update on things going on right now in my life. I am also getting excited about Thanksgiving dinners coming up. We haven't finalized any plans yet but I know a good dinner will be involved! :)

Birthdays

This week is a special week because there are several birthdays of my loved ones. Tomorrow (the 14th) is Brandon's 25th birthday, Friday is Brandon's dad, Dewayne's, Saturday is my Mom's, and this past Saturday which actually kicked the celebrating off was my cousin Katie's. This weekend, my family is going to Gatlinburg, yes, the prime getaway spot not too far from home, for the weekend for some much needed R&R. I bought a spankin' new sweat suit at Target on Sunday for the occasion! Call me crazy, but I may not leave the cabin until we head back. I am really excited about going though and know we will all have a great time.

Something exciting happened today! I received a video message on my phone about an hour ago and it was my sweet lil' Carter CRAWLING! That's right he can finally do it! I am so proud of him. He is such a joy and I know he is going to be really happy knowing he is mobile now.

Tis' So Sweet

Tis' so sweet to trust in Jesus
Just to take Him at His word
Just to rest upon His promise
Just to know thus sayeth the Lord

Jesus Jesus How I trust Him
How I've proved Him ore and ore
Jesus Jesus precious Jesus
Oh for grace to trust Him more

I'm so glad I learned to trust Him
Precious Jesus Saviour Friend
And I know that He is with me
Will be with me til' the end

Jesus Jesus How I trust Him
How I've proved Him ore and ore
Jesus Jesus precious Jesus
Oh for grace to trust Him more

Oh for grace to trust Him more.

Corban Patrick Kyle

My dear friend Amanda gave birth to her first child today! A sweet baby boy she and Jonathan named Corbin Patrick Kyle. He weighed 8 pounds and is 22 inches long. I cannot believe that little Amanda was carrying a boy that size. I cannot believe that my friends are having babies! I am going to try and go see the little family tomorrow at the hospital and maybe steal some pictures of Corbin.

Walker Family Reunion

This weekend was pretty laid back. On Friday, Brandon and I went to the Walker Valley football game and then came home and ate Halloween cupcakes that I had made the night before. On Saturday, my Mom, Puddles, and I walked in the Alzheimer's Memory Walk at Bradley High School and even managed to get our picture in the Sunday newspaper! My dad's mom's (my mamaw Nancy) side of the family had a family reunion also on Saturday in the country by the creek at one of the relative's house. It was really nice to see everyone and the weather was perfect. Carter entertained us the whole time and really enjoyed snacking on some good ole' mashed taters! Here are a couple pics of us there.

This pic is of the whole family except my dad because he was out of town for work stuff.

This is a picture of all the Walker brothers and sisters (9 total). My mamaw is in pink.
